“One ventriloquist learns the hard way, that some things are best left…un-FELT.”

 

Victor is a high school ventriloquist, who isn’t very good. Along with his friend, Ian Gorski (Igor for short) they create a new puppet for Victor. With some fancy science experiments, they bring this new creation to life. Can Victor and Igor keep this secret under wraps or will Puppet prove to be too much for them and their friendship to handle?

 

Frankenfledt is an original play written as a family friendly dark comedy, with a cast of 8 (some

doubling roles). If you like shows with humor, heart, and some slight creepiness, this is the show for you.

CHARACTERS

AGES ARE SUGGESTED AGES OF THE CHARACTERS
 

Victor Frankenfeldt (M)- (16-18) High school boy, ventriloquist. He is kind of meek and mild mannered. Constantly picked on by Seth. Low self-confidence.
 

Ian Gorski (Igor)(M)- (16-18) Victor best friend. Nerdy boy in school, loves science. Also, picked on by Seth.
 

Puppet (M or F)-(no age) Creation of Victor and Igor. Chaotic and obnoxious at times. Ulterior motive of trying to be best friend over Igor.
 

Ida (F)- (8-11) Victor's little sister. Wants to be like her big brother and be a ventriloquist. Discovers Puppet is alive.
 

Helen (F)- (30-40) Victor's Mother. Sweet and kindhearted and very supportive of Victor. Doubles as Ms. Lewis- High school English teacher and Victor's favorite.
 

Vincent (M)- (30-40) Victor's Father. Unsupportive and thinks Victor is wasting his time and wants him to focus on school and his future. Harsh and hard but changes when Victor becomes successful. Doubles as Mr. Rogers- High School Science teacher and Igors favorite.
 

Seth (M)- (16-18) School bully. Used to be friends with Victor and Igor. Team up at the end of the show to defeat Puppet. Doubles as Jack- Lynn Darci's camera man.
 

Emcee (F)- (25-45) Host of high school talent show. Charismatic. Doubles as Lynn Darci (TV Host)- Host of local TV show that does a story on the suddenly successful Victor and Puppet.
