taking applications for a director for
their Spring 2009 Musical. Play selection
has not been determined. We will be looking
for a Broadway-caliber show to produce. We
welcome suggestions with your resume and letter

Monthly meetings are open to the general public. This month's meeting will be at the Playhouse, located 1/2 mile north of the Itasca County Fairgrounds on County Road A. See you there! Coffee, energy, and friendly conversations abound!

SEARCHING FOR DIRECTOR FOR SUMMER DINNER THEATRE PERFORMANCES
After successful completion of the Maltese Crow in February, The Grand Rapids Players has decided to market our ability to bring dinner theatre entertainment to dining facilities in Grand Rapids and the surrounding area. The director's position is a token-pay position. Rehearsals will begin in early May with plans for a late June performance.

Summer Children's Theatre Workshop
For the 3rd Summer running, The Grand Rapids Players has hosted a Children's Theatre Workshop. This workshop is open to all kids entering 2nd grade and up. All children must be solid readers as each child will receive a script. Workshop dates are from 9:00 to 12:00 on July 14-17, 21-24, and 28-31, with 2 performances at the Myles Reif Center on August 1 & 2. Directed by Sharon Rasmussen, Katie E. Smith, and Jason Thurm. Guest artists include Cory Griemann, Jim Cagle, David Marty, Randy Ruppelius, and Tami Kottke.

Participation fee is $50 for the first child and $30 for each additional child within a family. A participation scholarship is available on request.
